ARUBAN DESIGNER & VISUAL STORYTELLER
Quiana Cronie preserves Aruba’s cultural heritage through fashion and visual storytelling. Rooted in forgotten narratives of the fishermen, farmers of the Island. Her work transforms history into upcycled and durable wearables for today. Each piece bridges generations, ensuring the island’s traditions remain visible, relevant, and alive.
cashaca collection
The brand concept was born in 2021
Inspired by 19th-century work shirts made from flour bags, the Cashaca collection reimagines Aruban workwear for the modern era. Using salvaged cotton tablecloths from local hotels, each garment carries the wisdom of“come harinja, bisti bari” to eat the flour, and wear the bag. Every look tells a story of labor, resilience, and cultural pride.

Story-led design
Every outfit begins with a narrative. Color, shape, materials, and location come together to form characters rooted in Aruba’s history. Through upcycling and imagery, Quiana reflects on fading
traditions while confronting the realities of tourism and commercialisation, creating space for dialogue, memory, and preservation.
